Waste Exchange

The Waste Exchange is a free service operated by Wastebusters with assistanace from Enviroment Canterbury.  It was established with the main aim to help businesses, community groups , schools and individuals to find outlets for wnated and unwanted materials they either buy in or landfill.  The service enables $'s to be saved both in landfill cost sand purchasing costs.

Businesses are either contacted in person or can contact the Waste Exchange themselves and list materials wanted or available.  The listings are kept confidential at all times.

Outlets are then found where possible for the unwanted materials or sources are found for the materials required.

When outlets are found for materials available the business with these materials is contacted and advised of the solution.  The business then has the final say as to whether the outlet can be used.  This ensures that items are not forwarded onto someone in durect competition.

What can be listed?

Any items that is in a reusable state. 

These are just some of the itme that can be listed on waste exchange.  No item is too big or too small.
