Items that can be recycled
All Glass bottles and jars that are clean and rinsed with lids removed. No window glass, drinking glasses, crystalware.
Any plastic container excluding polystyrene that is clean. No hazardous chemical containers.
All aluminium and tin/steel cans. Cleaned, rinse and flatten. No Paint or solvent cans.
Newspapers, magazines, office paper, circulars, shredded paper and glossies. Books eg novels can be taken up to Resource Recovery Park.
All cardboard excluding fast food packaging eg: pizza boxes - we can take the top but not the bottom if has residue of food still on it. Please flatten cardboard but do not tie together.
Please ensure on safe recyclables are put in your recycling bin, no syringes, knives, sharp objects or hazardous goods. Please help keep our sorters safe.
Ashburton Resource Recovery Park will take any large volumes of cardboard, shopping bags, reuseable items, whiteware, steel or metals items.
